Michael Rust, PhD receives the Pew Scholars Award

Assistant Professor Michael Rust (Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology) received the Pew Scholars award, summer 2014. The Pew Scholars Program in Biomedical Sciences provides funding to young investigators in sciences relevant to the advancement of human health. He was also recently named a Scialog Fellow for their "Molecules Come to Life" program. The Scailog "Molecules Come to Life" program is an initiative jointly sponsored by Research Corporation for Science Advancement and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. It is a two year program involving early career scientists from physics and biology interested in pursuing collaborative, high risk, highly impactful discovery research on untested ideas in physical cell biology.
