Developmental Biology Mini-Symposium Showcases Faculty and Student Research

On April 28, 2016, the Committee on Development, Regeneration, and Stem Cell Biology and the NICHD-supported Developmental Biology Training Program sponsored a mini-symposium on developmental biology. Graduates, current students, and faculty presented their work, including Paschalis Karatsios (Assistant Professor, Neurobiology) and DRSB alumna Olivia Casanueva, now of the Babraham Institute in the UK, and graduate students Adam Isabella (DRSB), Haley Stinnett (Integrative Biology), Jeff Steimle (DRSB), and Steve Briscoe (DRSB).

The keynote speaker was Deneen Wellik, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, Division of Molecular Medicine and Genetics and Associate Professor of Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Michigan, and Director of the Center for Organogenesis.
