In celebration of Black History Month, the Graduate Recruitment Initiative Team (GRIT) will be hosting a discussion with Dr. Funmi Olopade on February 23rd at 4:00pm. Dr. Olopade (Cancer Biology, GGSB and Human Genetics) is a renowned physician scientist and the director of UChicago's Cancer Risk Clinic, in addition to being the Associate Dean for Global Health at the University of Chicago. She focuses on cancer risk assessment in underrepresented groups and has worked extensively with our surrounding South Side communities.
