Matthew Funsten Honored for Outstanding Performance in Immunology

During the recent 537th Convocation Ceremony at the University of Chicago, several Ph.D. graduates received divisional and program awards for their research projects and scientific presentations. As part of a gathering where achievements were celebrated, Matthew Funsten was awarded for Outstanding Performance in the general field of Immunology. This recognition underscores their significant contributions and dedication in their field, including his dissertation "Influence of dietary protein source and the Microbiota on Type-1 Diabetes". His advisor is Alexander Chervonsky, MD. Funsten begins his next chapter with the position of scientist, Molecular Immunology, BioNTech US, Cambridge, MA.
