Integrative Biology Alumna named TED2017 Fellow

Paleobiologist Lauren Sallan (PhD'12, Integrative Biology; Assistant Professor, Earth and Environmental Science, University of Pennsylvania) was named a TED2017 Fellow.

Sallan studies long-term evolution using the "deeptime database" of the fossil record. She is espeially interested in what mass fish extinctions in the past can tell us about climate change today.

Besides delivering their own TED Talk at the annual conference in Vancouver, TED Fellows have access to a global network of mentors, collaborators, and funders, as well as a public relations expert to help disseminate research to the public at large.

Congratulations to Professor Sallan. We look forward to seeing her TED Talk in April.
