Recent Integrative Biology alum finds that alligator gars catch prey in a unique way

Justin Lemberg (Integrative Biology, Summer 2018) recently published an article in the Journal of Morphology. His research led him to discover that gars capture their prey by using their jaws and suction to keep their prey from getting away. He found that "there's definitely a need to have this data because it can tell us so much about how ancient fish fed."
