Edgar Correa-Colón awarded F31

Edgar Correa-Colón (Cell and Molecular Biology) was awarded a two year NIH NRSA F31 fellowship providing approximately $93,000 in support from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) for his research examining the molecular mechanisms in neuronal communication. His basic science research provides insights into the genes linked to such neurgenerative disorders as Alsheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Mr. Correa is a fifth year student in Paschalis Kartatisos's lab. He was previously selected as an NIH trainee on the Molecular and Cellular Biology T32 training grant program.
