Lili Wang, PhD, graduated in 2025 and was nominated for the Best Dissertation Award in the Biological Sciences Division for her exceptional dissertation, Decoding Complex Trait Genetics by Linking Variants to Regulatory Landscapes. Under the mentorship of Dr. Xuanyao Liu, Lili’s research advanced our understanding of how noncoding genetic variants influence complex traits by integrating genomic data with regulatory architecture work that holds critical implications for precision medicine and genetic risk prediction.
In recognition of her academic excellence and scientific contributions, Lili also received the Program Award for Outstanding Performance in the General Field of Genetics, Genomics, and Systems Biology.
Lili has accepted a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, where she will continue to explore the genetic and regulatory foundations of disease.
