Students who matriculate in BSD Master’s Programs in Autumn 2025 and beyond are subject to a time limit on enrollment of 3 years (12 quarters of enrollment).
The Dean of Students office may grant extensions for documented leaves of absence (upon student/program request) and extraordinary circumstances (upon program request).
All Master’s students must maintain satisfactory academic progress, complete all degree requirements within their program’s specified timeline and adhere to their program’s capstone/thesis submission deadlines.
Students approaching their enrollment limit will be reviewed by their program. Those who exceed the limit without an approved extension will be administratively withdrawn, unless their final project is near completion and they are granted permission by the program to continue enrollment. See University Policy on Time Limit Administrative Withdrawal for details.
Note: BSD Master’s programs are designed for completion within 1-2 years, making extensions uncommon.
